Umbrella Factory Conversion

Kennedy Woods gained planning permission for the conversion of a charming five-storey, mid-19th Century Grade II Listed mill building into nine apartments. The building has an interesting history; originally a fruit warehouse, then umbrella factory and a general store that later became used as a church. It has been largely derelict for the past decade and will soon provide nine contemporary, loft-style apartments in Manchester’s up-and-coming Northern Quarter. The building's rich heritage and characterful fabric, and its precarious structural condition have driven a conservation-led approach, and the opportunity to work alongside a team of specialists.
